These are our available foster dogs. If you are interested in adopting a greyhound, please fill out an application, and we will contact you to begin the process. If you have already adopted a greyhound from us, contact your placement rep to ask about one of these greyhounds. Please note that while the dogs on here are technically available, someone else may also be looking at the same dog; therefore, we suggest you look at several that you think might fit into your household. Also, as part of the screening process, we will determine what personality would best fit into your home, so while you may find a particular dog very striking to you, he or she may not be a good fit. Hi folks, I'm Louise (AKA Kewel Rain*) a sweet Irish lassie. They found me in the Bakersfield shelter with my pal Thelma, who had a broken leg. I last raced in Corpus Christie Texas and the folks that took us from there were not very nice to us.
I just love to roll around in the grass and play with stuffies. One of my favorite activities is when my foster mom takes me on our daily 5 mile walk. That is really fun...you get to see lots of small, fuzzy things.
Although I really like living here, I still would like my forever home. I have put my shelter and Texas experiences behind me now and it is time to get on with my life....how about it, can you help? |

Being named Lionel after those speedy toy trains, gives me a jump on racing right into your heart. I’m four years old and have a low to moderate activity level. There’s a nutty dog in my foster home that I even have patience with. I do have to say though; cats are “not quite my thing.” They’re entirely too fluffy!
I’ll gladly take walks with you. I’m inquisitive but cool with new dogs I meet...they’re fine...I’m just “finer.” I’ve got a greyt sense of humor and will do the twirlies when my furry friends play bow to me. Grizzly (AKA HL's Charlie) is my name and I like it. I go to a lot of Show and Tells with my foster family...of course I’m a huge hit! My foster family says that I am an “Ambassa-dog.” That’s because I sincerely love everyone and am soooo- happy to meet all dogs and people! You’ll notice I didn’t mention cats...my foster family thinks they may not be my favorite things, if you know what I mean! I am 5 years old and my activity level is moderate to low...but everyone thinks I’m so amusing...must be true! I love my toys, I love my people, and I’ll love and kiss, kiss, kiss you! I’m a happy boy! |

Armadillo (AKA Chico Cruz), what's that? Oh well, it really doesn't matter; I am in a happy place right now. I’m five and a half years old, I give great kisses and hugs and I’m a slam dunk to be your favorite pet. I don't want to brag, but I am really a good-looking dude. I love everyone I meet and just wait until you see me smile! Yep...I really do! Now squeaky toys are big with me...they’re just the best, watch me play! I’m good at playing with the Dobie in my foster home too, my activity level is moderate, and I think the world of taking nice long walks.
