Where is it? At the Park in La Habra Heights (on Hacienda Blvd.) which offers a wonderful venue for the event – acres of grass, trees, shade, sun, real restrooms (not porta-potties!) and lots of free parking. Please note that Yahoo & Google have no clue as to where this is. This location shows the correct place but the address is incorrect. It is the same place the picnic is always held. Go south on Hacienda from the 60 fwy or north from Whittier Blvd. Click on the marker for directions.
What can I do at the Picnic? The possibilities are endless - relax with your family (greyhound and human) in beautiful surroundings, visit with other greyhound lovers, participate in games and events designed for canine participation, chat with an animal communicator, shop for great products at the many vendors, and/or participate in the raffles, auctions and drawings! It could be your lucky day!
Do I get fed? Most of us think the food is the best part of the Picnic! FastFriends provides the basics for a fabulous lunch; attendees contribute an array of delicious and tempting salads.

Bring a salad; win a Silk Roads collar!!
HELP! To make the picnic a huge success, we need salad donations. If time is tight, let your local deli or Costco do the work! (No green salads, please - they tend to wilt.) All donations, large, small, homemade or purchased, will be appreciated! FastFriends supplies serving spoons. A special raffle for a Silk Road collar will be held for all salad donors. Please contact Tammy Brookhart at: 562-802-0937 or measheba@aol.com
Hard-working volunteers are what makes the Picnic a great success each year; the more volunteers we have, the more fun everyone has! If you can help for the day or for a few hours, we will have a job for you - contact Joyce at 562-694-3519 (or gpa.ocgla@verizon.net ) to volunteer. And thanks!
